The 2018 TRELIS Workshop will take place Saturday May 19 – Monday May 21, 2018, in Madison, Wisconsin. During morning and afternoon sessions, workshop participants and leaders will teach and learn through topics that directly affect women in their academic careers: work trajectories and decisions, communication and language, mentoring and coaching, obstacles and solutions, and work-life balance, all within the geospatial sciences context.

Workshop participants become TRELIS Fellows and will continue their geospatial professional development by also being part of the subsequent UCGIS Symposium and CaGIS AutoCarto, held jointly from Tuesday May 22 – Thursday May 24, 2018. TRELIS Fellows are also eligible to receive mini-grants to promote TRELIS-related activities on their own campuses.

We invite you to learn more about TRELIS and find the application information at www.ucgis.org/trelis.  The application deadline is Friday, February 16, 2018.  Applicants will hear decisions by Monday March 5, 2018.  For questions about TRELIS or the 2018 Workshop, please contact Kate Beard (kate.beard@umaine.edu) or Diana Sinton (dianasinton@ucgis.org).
