2025 Awards and Scholarships

In collaboration with Esri, Women In GIS is pleased to announce the 2025 Awards and Scholarships Program Recipients! 

WiGIS Awards recognize the contributions of women to geospatial fields. The scholarships provide funds for education expenses to undergraduate and graduate students and seed grants for women in the professional or academic sectors to support projects and research in a myriad of geospatial areas.

  1. The Awards and Scholarships Committee has the right to contact references, employers, or other entities for verification of the status and accuracy of the application materials or the applicant’s statement.
  2. Decisions made by the committee and the Board of Directors in connection with the selection process will be final and requests for reconsideration will NOT be entertained.
  3. Non-US Applicants/Nominees understand that any award or scholarship money shall be disbursed in accordance with the laws of the United States.
  4. Previous winners/recipients must wait 2 years before reapplying.
