Women in GIS Election Informational Session

In April, WiGIS Members will elect two important roles in WiGIS leadership:
We invite you to participate in the upcoming elections for two important roles in WiGIS leadership.

1. Vice President: This role is a two- year commitment, the vice president will serve one year as the vice president and move into the role of president in year two. The Vice President will work alongside the president for various projects and running of the organization. The Vice President will serve as an officer participant on the Internal Affairs committee.
2. Map Development Committee Lead: The Map Development Committee Lead serves a two year term typically. Work with a committee of volunteers Responsible for maintaining existing StoryMaps (WiGIS members, mentorship program and local chapter maps) and exploring how WiGIS can leverage and apply web map technology to support the WiGIS mission.

   WiGIS will be hosting an informational session Thursday, March 18, 2021, 12:00 - 1:00 PM PST to answer share more about the process, the roles, and answer any questions you may have about how to get more involved.  Zoom link for informational session below.
3. Vote
   Elections will be held in April. WiGIS members, be on the lookout for an email from us with a link to the form to cast your vote.

- 4/12 - 4/18 Voting period
- 4/23 Results posted
